About the Artist
The Patrick Jaouen band is a U.S. based original rock band. Their concept album “Masqué” was up for consideration on the 63rd ©Grammy Ballot for Alternative Album of the Year. The band is headed by BMI songwriter, guitar player and lead vocalist Patrick Jaouen alongside fellow band members the classically trained pianist, co-songwriter Garegin Grigoryan, Keyboard player Greg Machin, drummer Jonah Hettel and bassist and co-songwriter Jeffrey D. Carr. The EP “Don’t Press Play” was released in September 2021 featured the highly popular tracks “4:05” and “Uncertain” they’re currently on their Ordinary Sins Tour sponsored by Seed + Stone Cidery across the U.S. they’re are set to release their third album in mid-2023. Their recent release “Our Way feat Derek Sherinian” garnered over 300,000 plays on YouTube.

Patrick performed three songs during their time in the studio here for the Red Couch Session, each one brought it’s own unique sound to life. “Driving On” was written in 2020 in the middle of the Covid 19 pandemic that the world faced and is dedicated to continuing to “Drive On” in the face of all the hardships in life. “For the Hell of It” is an anthem dedicated to those who just keep on keeping on no matter what gets put in front of them. “Pass the Whiskey” is about acceptance and acknowledging the reality of unrequited love.
