About the Artist
Leaving her Pennsylvania hometown in 2017, to attend Belmont University, Alex Allegra sings her story, setting catchy hooks and clever lyrics to a pop-driven beat. On stage from the age of 3, Allegra puts a fresh spin on her life experiences, love and heartbreak, and sharing her own vulnerabilities and personal struggles with anxiety, her music resonates. Allegra has performed at some of the city’s iconic venues – including The Bluebird Café and The Listening Room Café. Her first single, Love School, received radio play from stations such as Radio SoBro and SheWolf Radio, expanding her reach to country and pop audiences alike. Connecting with people through music has evolved from a passion to a purpose, and now, at 23, Nashville pop artist, Allegra’s journey is just getting started.

Alex performed three songs for the Red Couch Sessions, “Colors”, “Love School” and “Into the Morning”. Allegra just dropped her latest single “Colors”, this self-written song inspired by a breakthrough moment in a recent therapy session. With a pop-driven beat, Allegra sings “kept looking for someone to give me all the answers, show me how happy I could be. “Love School” was co-written with fellow artist and friend, Justin Love. Coming out of a short lived “situation-ship,” and the ending college semester, arose parallels and themes put into the song. The fun, up- beat melody expresses the lightheartedness expressed in the relationship.
